Dendeng is one of typical Minangkabau dish. There area different types of dendeng, like:
Ingredients:
1/4 kg beef, sliced
2 cm ginger, smashed
2 cloves of garlic, smashed
2 bay leaves
1/4 sdt pepper
1/4 sdt salt
200 ml cold water
cooking oil to saute spices
Spices Ingredients:
10 red cayenne chilli
5 shallot
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 sdt salt
1/4 sdt sugar
How to:
- Dendeng masiak/ dry beef dendeng
- Dendeng batokok/ smashed beef dendeng
- Dendeng lambok/ moist beef dendeng
- Dendeng batokok bakar/ smashed and grilled beef dendeng
- Dendeng baracik/ spiced beef dendeng
Ingredients:
1/4 kg beef, sliced

1/4 sdt pepper
1/4 sdt salt

How to:
- Put beef, ginger, garlic, bay leaves, pepper, salt and cold water into a sauce pan. Cook them all in low heat until aromatic and beef change the colour. Take out beef from sauce pan and smashed them on a mortar, set a side.
- Blend spices in food processor or mortar, leave this coarse and don't need to blend them to a paste.
- Heat oil in wok pan and saute spice for 3 minutes and put smashed beef and stock into it. Cook well and stir occasionally until sambal thick. Serve.
